NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Retailer Crate and Barrel has recalled 285 cribs due to a fall hazard that can occur when the mattress support pins can become loose and not fit properly.
While the company has received six reports of incidents where the mattress support pins have not fitted property or have fallen out of the crib, no injuries have been reported.
Five of the units are being recalled in Canada and the rest are being recalled in the U.S.
The recall relates to the Thornhill Dark Brown and Natural Baby cribs, which have a dark brown wash finish and gold-capped feet. The model number is 304-903, which can be found on the mattress support board.
Made in Vietnam, the units were imported by Euromarket Designs, which does business as Crate and Barrel of Northbrook, Ill.
They were sold exclusively at www.crateandbarrel.com from September 2021 through October 2022 for about $1,000.
Consumers have been advised to immediately stop using the recalled cribs and contact the company for a full refund or a free replacement. Crate and Barrel is also contacting all known purchasers directly, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
