HIGH POINT — Universal Furniture is expanding its special-order upholstery capabilities in its Conover, North Carolina, facility, making it a custom resource not only for upholstery and upholstered beds, but also dining chairs.
The company said that it is adding dining chairs and counter stools to its bench-made, special-order program, with four counter stools and five chair styles available in more than 400 fabrics and 50 leather options. Two additional slipcover chair styles are available in fabric only.
The dining chair styles in the program are the following models: Kilian, Luca, Milo, Kamden, Lea and the Arvin side and arm chair. The four counter stool models in the program are Audrey, Essence, Fae and Monroe.
These seating options are available to interior designers and retailers alike and leave the warehouse in just six to eight weeks, which mirrors Universal’s standard lead times for upholstered products.
“Customers continue to tell us they want more cover options in dining chairs,” said Universal Furniture President Sean O’Connor. “We compiled our bestselling styles across modern and traditional designs and created a domestic program that offers upholstered dining chairs and stools with the same craftsmanship as our special-order sofas and chairs.”
The selection of fabrics includes velvets, linens, cottons and performance fabrics, all in a wide mix of colorways and patterns.
In addition to body fabric, customers can customize finishes. There are seven finish choices for wooden legs on dining chairs, and two metal finishes: Stainless Steel and Aged Satin Pewter.
Counter stools are available in two metal finishes: Nickel and White Satin Bronze.
