TL at Home delivers ‘love letter’

Luxury linens house launches blog and charitable initiative

Hudson, NY — Luxury bedding, bath and accessories company TL at Home launched two community initiatives in response to the Covid-19 pandemic: “Love Letter,” a new blog by company president Shari Kline, and “Gratitude & Giving Back,” a charitable program to take place every October, starting this month, aimed at supporting non-profit agencies in need.

“Giving back has always been important to me, and certainly a big part of the historical traditions of TL at Home,” Kline said. “This unprecedented time reminded us of the importance of being community minded, sharing with our neighbors in need, supporting each other. The blog is key because it is my way of connecting on a more personal level with my customers and industry colleagues; and marking October as our month of giving is meaningful to me because it’s my birthday month, which urges me to celebrate the milestone annually with a gesture of generosity.”

The first edition of Love Letter is now live on the TL at Home website. Kline said her mission is to inspire new conversations and engage readers, who are invited to share their comments, suggestions and questions via email link.

“Everything we make here starts with love – including our message, which is why I wanted to call the blog ‘Love Letter,’” Kline said. “This is a platform where I want to start friendly dialogs with our colleagues, customers and other members of our community.”

The first topic: TL at Home’s new “Gratitude & Giving Back” charitable initiative, also launching this month. The effort kicks off in partnership with two agencies: New Hampshire chapter of domestic violence victims support program New Beginnings – Without Violence & Abuse, which is commemorating Domestic Violence Awareness Month; and PS21, Performance Spaces for the 21st Century, a non-profit organization dedicated to the performing arts and extending opportunities for arts engagement to all, regardless of age, economic status, and cultural background.

“We employ someone at the company for whom an agency like New Beginnings has been personally impactful and we have seen firsthand the life change that can accompany a fresh start. I’ve always believed in second chances, and a making something good from humble beginnings,” Kline explained. “PS21 is a local establishment and we decided to give the second part of our donation to them because it’s being used to house the American Ballet Theater during a five-week stay in our area. I have always loved the ballet, and I am beyond thrilled to be able to make the dancers’ stay here more comfortable and memorable.”
