by WEST FALMOUTH, Mass. — Home News Now has learned that Norman Rosenblatt, Therapedic’s longtime chairman, passed away on Aug. 16. He was 86.
In a statement sent to Home News Now, Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic’s president and CEO, said, “It is with great regret and sadness that we inform you our chairman Norman Rosenblatt passed away peacefully last Wednesday, Aug. 16. Norman had served as the chairman of Therapedic for over 20 years.”
Borreggine added, “During his tenure as chairman of Therapedic , the company evolved from a sleep licensing group into a Top 10 mattress brand and a powerful accessory brand, as well.”
A funeral service will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the Chapman Funeral Home, 584 W. Falmouth Highway (Route 28A) in West Falmouth, Massachusetts.
Borreggine added that the family has requested privacy at this time and in the coming days.
“Until then, we ask that you send prayers and spiritual support to the Rosenblatt family,” he said.
Prior to his long tenure with Therapedic, Rosenblatt was an owner of Restmore LLC, a mattress manufacturer based in Brockton, Massachusetts.
Rosenblatt also had a long and successful career in sales, holding titles including vice president of sales at Pezrow Sales in New York City. There, he developed marketing and sales representation for 25 major consumer goods firms, including Union Carbide, Dupont and Hills Brothers Coffee.
He also was vice president at Candy Corp. of America and was also a sales executive with Bristol-Meyers where he had responsibilities for leading consumer brands including Excedrin and Vitalis.
