Description: American Furniture Warehouse is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to lead HR initiatives in multiple Houston area locations. The position will be instrumental in staffing two new retail locations and adjoining warehouse and transportation operations. Fully staffed, the facilities located in Katy, Webster, and Conroe will employ over 1000 full-time employees.
This position reports to the corporate HR Director and will work closely with store and warehouse management. Essential functions include partnering with the hiring managers and employees to determine staffing needs and communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations.
Requirements
- Associates degree or higher preferred
- 3-5 Years of HR generalist experience
- Multiple location experience desirable
- Experience with full cycle recruitment a must
- Knowledge of Texas and federal employment law, multi-state experience highly desirable
