Flexsteel expands outdoor furniture offerings at this week’s Casual Market Atlanta

ATLANTA — Flexsteel, the renowned residential furniture manufacturer with over 130 years of expertise, is embarking on a new venture that brings its commitment to exceptional home furnishings beyond the confines of indoor spaces. The launch of Flexsteel Outdoor Living unveils two new collections: Vista Wicker Lounge and Nova Wood Dining and Lounge.

With the introduction of these collections, Flexsteel brings its expertise in quality, durability, and design to outdoor living spaces by combining its meticulous craftsmanship with the best-sourced materials available, ensuring that its outdoor furniture meets the same exceptional standards as its indoor pieces.

To craft these extraordinary collections, Flexsteel partnered with Intransit, a distinguished design studio based in Berlin, collaborating with the talented designers Nils Koehn and Felix Götze. By employing innovative and sustainable materials, Koehn and Götze have curated a collection of furnishings and accessories that withstand the elements, providing comfortable outdoor spaces for dining, lounging, and socializing. In addition to offering individualized and coordinated pieces, the soft seating collection includes modular options, allowing customers to personalize their arrangements and enhance the flexibility of their outdoor living areas.

“It’s all about merging lifestyle-inspired designs with the warmth and texture of nature,” say Koehn and Götze.

Featuring contemporary silhouettes, Nova and Vista represent a new generation of outdoor furniture—one that highlights the authentic characteristics of each material used while keeping sustainability and comfort at the forefront.

The Vista collection elevates traditional wicker to a new level of design, with soft curves and smooth transitions that create an elegant and inviting atmosphere. By incorporating passive motion features, such as a carrier frame with subtle flex, the Vista Collection enhances the user experience. This blend of traditional wicker aesthetics with modern design elements sets the Vista collection apart.

The Nova collection focuses on the beauty and sustainability of fast-growing Acacia wood. This durable wood not only withstands the elements but also adds a touch of natural elegance to outdoor spaces. Traditional mortise joints highlight the innate qualities of the wood, resulting in furniture with an honest design and timeless appeal. The Nova collection also features a clever connection detail that simplifies assembly for retailers and consumers.

Both collections have been meticulously designed with human experience in mind and are scaled to fit most of the population, offering enhanced support and well-being for users. Additionally, their moderate footprint and scale ensure they can fit seamlessly into any outdoor space.

“The goal from the beginning was to deliver great comfort through reasonably sized outdoor furniture. These collections are versatile enough to be used in a variety of settings, from small apartment balconies to expansive backyard decks or pool areas,” said Tim Newlin, VP of Strategic Business Development at Flexsteel. “We are thrilled to unveil our new designs next week at Casual Market in Atlanta and showcase how we have brought the comfort and quality we are known for inside the home to the outdoor living area with a modern take.”

Renowned for its innovation in design and commitment to sustainable materials, Flexsteel Outdoor Living ushers in a new era of outdoor furnishings that seamlessly blend style, comfort, and durability like never before.

The Flexsteel Outdoor Living collection will make its debut at Casual Market Atlanta on July 10-13 at Building 1, Floor 7, Booth 1162.
