GREENWOOD, S.C. — Broad River Retail (BRR), one of the largest and fastest growing independently owned and operated Ashley Store licensees, celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for its newest Ashley store in Greenwood, South Carolina on Thursday, September 1, 2022. Greenwood Mayor Brandon Smith joined the BRR team at the celebration.
“Today’s response for this event was incredible, and we were honored to have Greenwood’s Mayor Smith along with other city leaders to join us for it,” Charlie Malouf, Broad River Retail President and CEO said. “We’re proud to serve the Greenwood community with America’s number name in furniture and mattresses for years to come.”
The new Ashley is located at 525 Bypass 72 NW, in front of Kohl’s. The store is 19,036 square feet and includes the new 7.0 store design, which introduces a new Store of the Future Design and an enhanced shopping experience.
“Ashley offers customers a wide variety of beautiful home furnishings at an incredible value,” Manny Rodrigues, Chief Operating Officer said. “We are excited to provide Greenwood with the best home furnishings shopping experience in the industry.”
In keeping with Broad River Retail’s dedication to the communities it serves, a portion of all mattress sales from the store will be donated to Ashley’s Hope to Dream program. Hope to Dream was founded in 2010 on the guiding principle that every child deserves a good night’s sleep. Since its inception, more than 100,000 children have received a brand-new bed.
Family Promise, one of the nation’s leading organizations working to prevent and end homelessness, was identified as a local recipient to receive a $1,000 charitable donation from the new Ashley as a tribute to their service in the local community. Family Promise’s mission is to help families experiencing homelessness and low income families achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response.
We proudly worked in collaboration with Ashley Furniture Industries, ADT Security, Advance Signs, Arrowood Structural Engineering, Bryan Contracting Services, LPD Construction, Luttman Architecture, Minutemen Electric, Shultz Engineering, and BCS Floors to make this grand opening possible.
The new Ashley store’s hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
