HIGH POINT – Case goods importer Riverside Furniture has named industry veteran Ron Hales, vice president, supply chain.
He fills a position previously held by Ken Donham, who left the company this past fall to become senior vice president, international operations at Hooker Furnishings.
Hales comes to Riverside from Legacy Classic Furniture, where he was director, supply chain and inventory planning for nearly eight years.
Before that, he was a senior consultant at Robert S. Segal and before that, he was a director and staffing liaison at the Piedmont Triad Chapter of the Association for Operations Management. Previously, he was materials control manager at New Breed Logistics.
Before joining New Breed, he was director, inventory planning at Drexel Heritage Furniture for about two and a half years and concurrently held the role of director of inventory planning at Furniture Brands International and Thomasville Furniture Inds. for 15 and a half years starting in May 1996.
Before that, he was a senior consultant at Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP and before that he was a manufacturing control manager at Marsh Furniture for more than five and a half years.
