West Palm Beach location is one of 25 stores the company operates in the US and Canada and one of 40 total stores planned by year end

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Mattress brand Naturepedic’s newest store here marks the company’s first store in Florida and the first of an additional 15 stores the company plans by year end in and outside the state.

The company recently opened a 1,350-square-foot location at 1880 Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach. Located in the heart of the city’s downtown, it is near a host of restaurants and shops that are part of The Square as well as nearby scenic waterways and entertainment venues.

This is the company’s first stand-alone store in Florida, although it plans other locations in the near future, the company told Home News Now.

While not revealing the specific locations, officials also noted that this is part of a plan to grow its store count from 25 currently, including the new Palm Beach store, to 40 by year end.

It currently has three stores in Canada, including two in Toronto and one in Vancouver. Its locations in the U.S. — including West Palm Beach — are in New York City; Brooklyn; Washington, D.C.; Boston (two locations); Greenwich, Connecticut; Minneapolis; Dallas (two locations); Los Angeles, Irvine; Denver; Chicago; Charlotte, North Carolina; Cleveland; Scottsdale, Arizona; San Francisco; Silicon Valley, Marin-San Rafael and Peninsula, California; and Tacoma, Washington.

The company said its expanded retail presence comes at a time when customers are heading back to retail stores for large-ticket items. Its own research shows that 57% of customers want to begin shopping for a mattress in a physical store.

It noted that aside from being in desirable and high-traffic locations, its stores carry a wide mix of certified organic mattresses and bedding as well as natural and non-toxic mattresses.

Its West Palm Beach location also is in a high-traffic area and has a mix of mattress styles and sizes shown on adult beds and even on bunk beds, thus highlighting the availability of mattresses for any age group. A wall display also offers other accessories such as organic sheets and pillows, as well as mattress protectors and mattress toppers.
