Legacy Classic/Modern names Chris Pelcher president

HIGH POINT — Case goods resource Legacy Classic/Modern has named Chris Pelcher, president. He replaces Neill Robinson, who recently left the company for a position as executive vice president, residential case goods at Bernhardt.

Pelcher was most recently the founder and president of Lineage Furniture, a domestic case goods resource based in Pennsylvania.

Before that, he was president and founder of Furniture Insights Group and before that was chief merchandising officer and executive vice president, Art Van, Levin and Wolf Furniture.

He also previously was executive vice president and general manager at Levin and Wolf Furniture and before that was senior vice president, merchandising, marketing and sales at Levin Furniture.

Before joining Levin, he was senior vice president, merchandising at Levitz Home Furnishings and before that was as senior buyer at Fortunoff.

In his new role, he reports to Samuel Kuo, chairman of Samson Holding, the parent company of the Legacy Classic/Modern.

“We are truly excited to have Chris join the Samson group and take over the president role at Legacy Classic/Modern,” Kuo said. “Chris’ entrepreneurial spirit, extensive retail knowledge and understanding of all product development and operational needs will have a positive impact on Legacy.”

Pelcher said he is pleased to begin this next phase of his furniture career.

“As a former customer of Legacy Classic/Modern, I have known the company for being dependable and customer centered,” he said. “I am excited to be working with such a seasoned and dynamic group. I am looking forward to taking the helm as president and pushing for further growth and success for Legacy.”
