Expanded resources, date shift sets stage for robust summer 2021 Las Vegas Market

LAS VEGAS, N.V. – (May 17, 2021) – A surge in consumer demand for home product, expectation of a strong fourth quarter and later-than-normal summer show dates have positioned Las Vegas Market as the West Coast’s last major sourcing opportunity for 2021, offering retailers a robust assortment of gift, home décor and furniture products to fill their holiday inventory needs. Registration for Summer 2021 Market, which runs Aug. 22 – Aug. 26, opens soon at LasVegasMarket.com.

“There’s an industry-wide need for product and Las Vegas Market is prepared to help meet that demand,” said IMC CEO Bob Maricich. “April Market was an important first step towards business recovery for the western states, and we look forward to continued progress by connecting buyers and suppliers again this August.”

Showrooms and Temporary Exhibits Drive Continued Growth

This summer, attendees will find a depth and breadth of new, innovative and best-selling products on a campus that features 4,300+ furniture, gift and home décor resources across three showroom buildings (A, B and C) and in the temporary exhibits located in the Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Market’s temporary gift and home presentation looks to build on a successful April debut in the Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas with 350+ new and established gift and home décor resources presented in six destinations – Gift, Design, Handmade, Home, Immediate Delivery and Luxe – for Summer 2021 Market. Among highlights this summer is the brand-new Gourmet Housewares Collection, a comprehensive and focused collection of some 100 new resources, including kitchen gadgets, cookware, small electrics, grilling tools, kitchen textiles, bar accessories, cookbooks, gourmet food and more. These new resources will complement the Market’s 350+ existing gift-oriented housewares and specialty food resources presented in permanent showrooms.

The new Expo at WMCLV acts as the gateway to the entire World Market Center campus – with its contiguous positioning to Building C, the facility allows for a more seamless flow of traffic between the market’s temporary exhibits and permanent showrooms. Within the showrooms, the market will feature more than 2,000 furniture lines on 31 floors, 2,000+ gift resources on seven floors in Building C and more than 500 home décor resources on 13 floors in Buildings A, B and C.

As an added benefit, the shifted August timing positions Las Vegas Market concurrently with HD Expo (Aug. 24 – Aug. 25 at Mandalay Bay) and ASD (Aug. 22 – Aug. 25 at Las Vegas Convention Center), offering designers and retailers access to a greater number of complementary resources and creating a dynamic cross-category opportunity for exhibitors and attendees alike.

Virtual Pre-Market Offerings Complement Return of At-Market Excitement

Summer Market will present a full slate of pre-market virtual education, as well as the return of popular in-person experiences including FIRST LOOK and Market Snapshot product vignettes and live entertainment. The August staging also features the second installment of Market Pros, a program that features market tips and favorite at-market products finds from influential industry professionals on the @LasVegasMarket Instagram page.

Las Vegas Market’s signature programming – including the market’s proprietary FIRST LOOK and Ahead of the Curve trend programs and a Virtual Showhouse — will be presented through digital market channels before market. Additional pre-market educational webinar programs will address consumer preferences and current market trends. A schedule for coming live sessions, as well as a full catalog of previously recorded virtual programming is available through the Las Vegas Market website, at https://www.lasvegasmarket.com/plan/event-seminar-landing.

In lieu of Las Vegas Market’s annual “Up on the Roof” Gift for Life fundraiser, IMC will sponsor a Gift for Life raffle benefitting World Central Kitchen’s COVID-related food relief efforts. Las Vegas Market participants can qualify for prizes including hotel stays and dining certificates in Gift For Life’s “Feed the Hungry – Feel the Good” raffle. Entries are $50 each and IMC has pledged to match donations up to $10,000 from Las Vegas Market participants.

Juniper, IMC’s new fully integrated omnichannel B2B commerce solution, also will have a presence at Las Vegas Market. Juniper “Preview Pods” in the Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas will provide buyers with a dynamic visual overview of JuniperMarket, a multi-line B2B wholesale e-commerce marketplace launching in 2021. It also will provide sellers with an overview of JuniperCommerce, a sales automation and commerce platform to empower sales teams, streamline product data management, and deliver real-time visibility across. Sellers and buyers can visit the Juniper showroom on Building C’s first floor to learn more about the ways JuniperCommerce and JuniperMarket drive business efficiency and growth.
