Therapedic sticks to January Las Vegas Market with virtual show, in-person follow-ups, starting now

LAS VEGAS — Therapedic International has moved forward with its own virtual winter market, concerned that the winter Las Vegas Market, recently postponed until April, is just too long for retailers to wait to see new merchandise to refresh their floors.

The bedding producer created a video walk-through tour tour of its Las Vegas Market showroom and specific collection videos as well as other ways for retailers to see and learn more about any product they’re interested in.

“When the Las Vegas Market was postponed, we sent a film crew to our showroom space that had already been set-up with the new 2021 merchandise we were going to show,” Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic’s president and CEO said in a release.

“We filmed a brief, personal walk-through video for dealers to view and to get an idea of what new offerings we have ready for them, now,” he said.

Many dealers haven’t freshened their assortments since the pandemic and can’t wait until April to see new goods. If they did,  “That would mean new merchandise won’t be hitting their floors until the summer,” he said.

Therapedic will send a video link to all dealers, and any prospects, who request it.  If the see items they like, the local Therapedic factory will arrange for dealers to see the goods in person, either by bringing the dealers to their factory or by having sample goods shipped to their store or warehouse.

“We have made it a very personal, and private market showing for the dealers,” Borreggine said, adding the company has  some “very exciting wrinkles” to present, too.

That included a refreshed “b-calm,” the company’s three-model CBD-infused line, which has been enhanced with CBD accessories that Therapedic said will boost the effect of the CBD and give retailers more talking points. The accessories also will give consumers a reason to return to the store to purchase refills.

“We have sourced a linen and room CBD spray mist that can complement the CBD effect for the sleeper,” added Susan Mathes, vice president of brand relations for Therapedic.

“We will also be offering a CBD tincture product, intended to increase the calming effect of the CBD. These calming products, combined with the comfort of the beds, will give the consumer a full sleep system providing a ‘best in class’ experience in the CBD sleep products category.”

Also shown in the virtual tour are new models from Therapedic’s, Bravura. Collection, freshening up the best-selling line in the portfolio. It’s heavy-duty TheraLuxe HD, and TheraLuxe HD Ice also are featured along with MemoryTouch Copper Hybrid and Tommy Bahama mattresses, which the company said bring “a little warmth and island-lifestyle comfort to this virtual winter market.”

“We don’t want you to be any further delayed and held back by this pandemic,” Borregine said in an introductory video. “We need break-through ideas, we need break-through product, and we think we have that.”
