PHILADELPHIA — Lifestyle apparel and home furnishings and décor retailer Anthropologie has launched a furniture collection with London-based designer Ilse Crawford that makes use of natural materials and woods, creating an organic modern design aesthetic.
The StudioIlse line features just over a dozen SKUs ranging from lamps, pillows and blankets to rugs, sofas, chairs, ottomans and benches.
Organic materials such as cotton and linen fabrics and woven paper cord are a signature design aesthetic in the collection. Together, they lend natural earthen tones in both fabrics and wood finishes and in the textures seen in the woven designs of chairbacks, bench bases and even pendant lampshades.
Cocktail and side tables, shown in a natural wood finish, are made with ash solids, as are various chair and sofa frames.
“This collection features lightweight, easy-to-move pieces in tactile, natural materials,” the company said. “Their soft shapes and extra storage are designed to elevate the idea of compact living.”
Retails start at $98 for pillows, while lamps start from $498 to $598 for pendant and table styles and top out at $998 for a floor lamp. A woven bench, chair and sofa retail at $1,498, $1,798 and $2,598 respectively, while a side table and cocktail retail from $398 to $698.
This is Anthropologie’s first partnership with Crawford. The founder of StudioIlse, she works with a team of 13 designers whose work spans both residential and commercial projects from homes and hotels to restaurants, schools and offices.
