HAWA brings 16 Vietnamese manufacturers to High Point Market

Vietnamese-owned companies produce a wide range of furniture, accents and accessories

HIGH POINT — The Handicraft and Wood Industry Association of Ho Chi Minh City will have a significant presence at the October High Point Market with a group of 16 manufacturers showing a mix of categories including case goods and upholstery.

These manufacturers are Vietnamese-owned producers, many of which have been designing and manufacturing product for the U.S. and other markets for years. Now they are looking to expand their market penetration in the U.S.

Although many do not have as large a capacity as some of their Taiwanese- and Chinese-owned counterparts, they specialize in handcrafted and artisan pieces of furniture, accents and accessories along with handicrafts that offer a unique decorative element that is difficult to reproduce in other parts of the globe.

At market, the manufacturers are showing in Space 231-233 of Centers of High Point Hamilton, with each company showing a representation of their product mix. In addition, officials will provide market visitors information about their next major show, HawaExpo 2024, being held March 6-9, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City.

The companies also are having a networking event from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at their space at Centers of High Point Hamilton.
