Effective Jan. 1, 2024, he fills a role held by Ray Allegrezza, who will remain manager of content and events
HIGH POINT — The International Home Furnishings Representatives Association is promoting Steven Allegrezza to the top post of executive director on Jan. 1, 2024.
Allegrezza, who joined IHFRA in August 2020 as director of digital marketing, was promoted to the then new position of managing director in January 2021.
In his new role as executive director, Allegrezza will succeed Ray Allegrezza, who has held that title since joining IHFRA in June 2018.
Ray Allegrezza will remain with IHFRA as manager of content and events and will focus on creating content for IHFRA, helping to produce webcasts and webinars, producing IHFRA’s monthly newsletter and other content-related initiatives.
Prior to joining IHFRA, Steven Allegrezza had worked in the industry as director of e-commerce for Manwah; e-commerce development coordinator for Magnussen Home Furniture; and operations manager for Parker James, a division of Summer Classics Furniture. He also spent a number of years as a team leader for Apple.
“Thanks to Steven’s solid background in our sector as well as his deep understanding of technology, IHFRA is well positioned for growth, despite the challenging and changing landscape our sector faces,” Ray Allegrezza said.
Since Steven has been IHFRA’s managing director and been responsible for all day-to-day operations, membership has grown, the number of webinars and webcasts has increased, a new and revitalized executive committee has been put in place, the company’s website has been refreshed and enhanced and literally all of IHFRA’s key systems and platforms have been upgraded, Ray Allegrezza said.
Steven will be absolutely fantastic as the new IHFRA executive Director.
He has done an excellent job from day one and we look forward to Steven taking IHFRA to the next level of excellence.
