Luxfort Home expands line with case goods

HIGH POINT — Midpriced motion upholstery and upholstered bed specialist Luxfort Home is offering more lifestyle-driven innovations at the April market as the company adds coordinating case goods to complement its popular upholstered Power Bed line.

In addition, three of the company’s five new Power Beds at market will accommodate a home theater projector that syncs with smartphones to provide an immersive streaming video entertainment experience. Also available in two of Luxfort’s Super Soft Seating sectionals and sofas, the integrated projectors transform phone videos into a group and social experience for watching everything from March Madness to movies and even for gaming, said President Lee Boone.

Luxfort’s fully upholstered Power Bed line, which features power-adjustable headrests providing ergonomic comfort, a convenience console for cupholders and wireless charging phone/tablet holders, and LED-touch reading lights “are in retail stores and sales have taken off,” Boone said. “Retail sales associates are calling Power Beds the easiest products to sell on the floor.”

The category’s popularity prompted retailers to request coordinating case pieces. “Our retail partners suggested coordinating nightstands, dressers and benches to complement in-store displays and enable the consumer to purchase complete bedrooms with our Power Beds and Theater Beds,” Boone said.

The company is introducing three new collections of cases. Each group includes two nightstand options — one in wood and one covered with fabric matching the bed — and a dresser and landscape mirror. Wood finishes are in classic gray or brown tones.

Noting that Luxfort’s Power Beds retail from $999 to $1,499 depending on style, size and cover, Boone said the coordinating cases “are designed to complement the bed in terms of style, construction and quality at great values. It is widely known that beds sell bedrooms. So, our Power Beds are the marquis story, and the cases will play supporting roles at competitive prices,” Boone said.

Luxfort also is debuting a new seating concept called Accent Recliners in a range of 15 fabrics and leathers. “This new product line is thoughtfully designed to appeal to today’s fashion-conscious consumer who is looking for smaller-scale reclining chairs with functional features including 360-degree swivel, full recline, hidden storage and optional conveniences like reading lights and phone charging holders,” Boone said. They are offered in power, push-back or manual activation in a retail price point of $499 to $999 to complement the Super Soft Seating line of sectionals and sofas.

The new product categories are debuting in Luxfort’s 5,000-square-foot showroom at 100 N. Main St. in High Point.
