“Today’s consumers are very savvy, but they still need to have trust in the brand and the buying process to make a purchase,” said Vice President Scott Miller. “BalanceTM was designed to help the retail sales associate easily present the product and for the consumer to completely understand its overall features and benefits.”
Miller added, “When the human body lies down on any surface, it has increased pressure points at the shoulders, hips and lower legs, and it needs added extra support in the lower back and upper legs to have truly balanced support. Much like an arch in a shoe, or lumbar support in an office chair or car seat, BalanceTM has true ergonomic support.
Reducing pressure points means less disruption of blood flow and less tossing and turning. BalanceTM uses a combination of 5-zone comfort layers over a 5-zone pocketed coil unit to provide the sleeper with a balance of pressure relief and support.
“What makes BalanceTM unique? We wanted to visually show the 5-zones on the surface of the mattress right in the cooling cover fabrics,” Miller said. “So, we approached the major textile manufacturers, and we were told that they didn’t have anything like that, so we had to work with them on custom fabric designs.
“We created an interactive presentation between the retail sales associate and the consumer with these custom fabrics,” Miller said. “The associate can now point to each zone on the surface and explain what is going on inside of the mattress. Then they can simply invite the consumer to sit down in the middle hip zone and then recline back and they will see how their body is properly positioned over all of the zones. Now they can see the difference and feel the difference. We wanted the Balance collection to not only be affordable, but easy to understand and easy to purchase. All 11 Balance models can be shipped flat-packed or rolled as a mattress in a box, allowing dealers and consumers to be serviced the way they want to buy.”
