by HIGH POINT — Motion upholstery manufacturer Man Wah Holding Co. has named industry veteran Angela Edwards vice president of special accounts, a new position.
She comes to the company from Serta Simmons Bedding, where she was senior manager of new business development. Before that, she was national director, development and also a senior account consultant at Planned Furniture Promotions for about 10 years.
Earlier in her career, she was vice president of sales and marketing at Wahlquist Management Corp. and before this owned and operated two furniture stores in Georgia for nearly 17 years.
In her new industry role, she reports to Man Wah USA managing director Gabriele Natale and will help the company drive business growth at lifestyle and nontraditional retailers.
Edwards said she is pleased to begin her new role and be part of what she described as a “great team” at Man Wah.
“Excitement is an understatement of how I feel to be part of the Cheers / Man Wah team,” she said. “I look forward to being part of the company’s growth as we continue to offer the best in comfort, quality and value.”
