by SEFFNER, Fla. – Retailer Rooms To Go has named industry global sourcing expert Dave Johnson global sourcing partner.
He comes to the company from Hooker Furnishings, where he was vice president, quality and compliance for the past year. Before that, he worked at Home Meridian International for just over 12 years.
At HMI, he was director of quality assurance and sourcing solutions for about seven and a half years and was director of quality control for his entire 12-years with the company.
Before joining HMI, he was director, quality assurance and sourcing solutions at A.R.T. Furniture and before that was director of manufacturing at Magnussen Home Furnishings.
Before joining Magnussen, he was vice president, sourcing at La-Z-Boy, where he oversaw China sourcing for Pennsylvania House.
In his new position, he also will help oversee global sourcing for Rooms To Go, which ranked number six on Home News Now’s 125 listing of top home furnishings retailers.
