Swavelle announces new CEO

NEW YORK –Fabric provider Swavelle Mill Creek announced that CEO Jeff Thomases has stepped down as CEO, with Greg Thomases taking on the role. 

Although not involved with the day to day activities, Jeff will retain the title of Chairman and Founder, remaining active in the organization and involved with product development and strategic planning.

Greg will oversee all aspects of Swavelle and continue to lead sales efforts for the furniture division. Greg’s strong knowledge of the industry has provided him with a backdrop of success over his 20 years of service with Swavelle.

“I feel very fortunate for both this leadership opportunity and to be a part of a successful family business,” said Greg. “We will continue to grow and build momentum in existing markets as well as new directions.”

In addition, Alan Halpern has retired as Swavelle’s CFO. Halpern’s commitment to Swavelle for more than 30 years has ushered in unprecedented success. Eric Zissman has been promoted to CFO. Having worked with Halpern closely for the past 13 years, Zissman aims to provide a smooth transition and continuity. Zissman will oversee all financials, information technology and human resources.
