HIGH POINT — Upholstery manufacturer Spectra Home said it has eliminated its freight surcharge on its entire line, which include new October market introductions. The change was effective Oct. 1.
The company said that it “reluctantly implemented the freight surcharge in response to the extraordinarily high ocean freight rates experienced worldwide.”
“Over the past several months we have seen freight rates returning to more reasonable costs and we want to pass those savings onto our retail partners,” stated Jim Telleysh, Senior Vice President, Spectra Home. “Hopefully this surcharge free news will give our retailers the relief that they need to pass the savings on to their customers allowing our retailers to continue realizing their high sales margins they have experienced in recent years. Our retailers are our partners, and we want to help them as much as we can to be successful.”
At the October High Point Market, the company is showing in space 211 of 200 N. Hamilton.
