IMM Cologne fair set for Jan. 14-18

Show will feature more than 800 exhibitors showing products in 10 halls at the Cologne Messe Fairground

COLOGNE, Germany — IMM Cologne is returning to its winter dates in January 2024 following a spring edition held earlier this year.

The show will be Jan. 14-18 at the Cologne Messe Fairground and will feature 800 exhibitors showcasing a wide mix of products including case goods and upholstery, bedding, home textiles, wall coverings, lighting, accessories and rugs.

The show spans 10 halls at the fairgrounds, including a space called The Circles that debuted at the spring edition. The circular floor plan in Hall 1 aims to create a greater sense of engagement and community between retail buyers, designers and exhibitors along with architects and project planners.

The space also provides display areas and installations where members of the interior design community can make presentations on some of their latest ideas and design innovations ranging from product durability to sustainability.

“The circular areas from which the format takes its name will be connecting elements and places where trade fair participants can meet and converse,” show organizers said in describing the concept. “The holistic approach reflects the trade fair’s central theme — “Connecting Communities” — and fosters a sense of a whole industry coming together that goes far beyond a typical trade fair experience.”

The area also features café and lounge areas where industry colleagues and business partners can meet in a relaxed atmosphere.

Other parts of the show are segmented by price points, allowing buyers from around the world to shop the venue in a focused manner based on the needs of their respective markets.

“IMM Cologne will offer an excellent platform for global furniture manufacturers and designers to reunite with the international furniture trade and design community,” the show said in a statement regarding the January event.
