2nd IBIA bedding supply show in Turkey planned this fall

ISTANBUL — Following a successful debut event this past year, the Mattress Supply Industry and Technologies Fair will have its second edition this coming fall.

The International Bedding Industry Association Expo 2023 is planned for Sept. 28 through Oct. 1 at the Istanbul Expo Center. It is expected to showcase the products and services of about 300 suppliers to the bedding industry in about 350,000 square feet of space at the Expo Center.

“IBIA Expo brings together professional buyers from all over the world in Istanbul as a unique meeting point where the leading bedding supplier industry and technology companies of Turkey and the world exhibit their new and innovative products,” show organizers said on the IBIA website. “With IBIA Expo, the newest products, innovative materials, components and technologies come together under one roof.”

The debut show held in early October 2022 drew more than 22,000 visitors from 91 countries, according to results published on the show website. Of these, 16,729 were domestic visitors and the remaining 5,738 were international visitors, which included visitors from the U.S.

Last year’s show featured 246 exhibitors, including 146 from Turkey and another 10 from other countries. For a description of the types of companies showing in the mattress machinery sector and the mattress components sector, click here.

Some 35% of the exhibitors/attendees were mattress manufacturers, 22% were component importers and 16% were sleep products importers. Another 15% were mattress supply industry importers and exporters, and the remaining 11% were designers, the media and members of the general public.
