CPSC says units violate mandatory flammability regulations, posing a fire hazard in the home

MISSOURI CITY, Texas — Adven Group, which does business as Nap Queen Sleep, has recalled 117,200 of its Victoria cooling-gel and pocket-coil hybrid mattresses because of a violation of mandatory federal flammability regulations for mattresses.

Although there have been no injuries or incidents reported, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the violation of the safety standard poses a fire hazard to consumers. Thus, it has alerted consumers as well as other suppliers and retailers about the dangers of not meeting the standard.

The CPSC said the single-sided mattresses have a white knit top panel quilted in wavy diamonds, and a black woven quilted side panel and were sold compressed in a box. The mattresses’ top and bottom edges are black with yellow stitching. “Nap Queen Sleep,” “Victoria Hybrid,” the model number and manufacture date appear on a white label sewn onto the mattress cover.
