SKOKIE, Ill. — Retailer and manufacturer Ethan Allen has relocated its Design Center here to “The Shops at Orchard Place,” a location that the company described as a premier shopping destination.
It is just over 6,000 square feet and features what the company said is a “bright open, modern layout that invites collaboration.”
The company said the design of the interior “follows our best and most current interior design concepts,” noting that upon entering the new Design Center, clients will view its design studio, which features freestanding work stations with large screen monitors. In addition, the space showcases various designer tools ranging from fabric, leather and case goods finish samples along with other custom options.
Clients also can use touchscreens throughout the store to research products at their own pace.
The company said that the move “capitalizes on the brand’s ongoing commitment to combining technology with personal service and growing its strong North American manufacturing base.”
“Ethan Allen has evolved into an all-in-one, whole-home custom design house,” said Farooq Kathwari, chairman and CEO of Ethan Allen Interiors. “Our newest Design Centers truly bring the full Ethan Allen experience to life. They also put the talent of our more than 1,200 interior design professionals front and center. These moves capitalize on our ongoing commitment to combining personal service with technology. They showcase our unparalleled selection, the customizations that we can create in our North American workshops, and the interior design possibilities that define our brand.”
