Alexa Keaney named director of marketing, Justin Binnix named VP case goods and outdoor merchandising
HICKORY, N.C. — Century Furniture has hired Alexa Keaney as director of marketing and Justin Binnix as vice president of case goods and outdoor merchandising.
Keaney is filling a new position at the company and Binnix is filling a role previously held by Chuck Auten, who recently left the company.
Keaney comes to the company from Theodore Alexander, where she also was director of marketing. Before that, she was director of marketing at Baker Interiors Group, where she also held other roles including communications and events manager. She also was previously a fabric specialist at Greenhouse Fabrics and a product data specialist at Klaussner.
In her new position, she reports to Comer Wear, vice president of marketing, and will be responsible for helping set strategic marketing goals for Century and sister company Highland House, part of the Rock House Farm family of brands. She also will be responsible for helping create marketing content in partnership with its customers.
Binnix comes to the company after a 32-year career at home furnishings and design resource Niermann Weeks, the past 15 and a half years of which he was president. Before that, he was product development director and before that was production manager. In his new position, he will lead Century’s case goods and outdoor product development teams and oversee the strategic direction and growth of the divisions.
He reports to Alex Shuford III, president and chief executive officer of Century Furniture and RHF Investments.
“We are excited to have both Alexa Keaney and Justin Binnix join our team for these key positions in our organization,” Shuford said. “Justin brings with him a wealth of experience and leadership from a respected brand in our industry, and we look forward to the contribution he will make to Century.”
Binnix said he was pleased to be “joining Century with its rich history and talented, passionate people. I look forward to creating lasting designs and relationships in my new role.”
