Description: As NFM’s Distribution Center Manager you will direct all warehousing activities in the region personally or through subordinate supervisors. You will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation of safety, service and production of all warehouse staff members. You will ensure that NFM has a world-class warehousing facility.
Other responsibilities include:
- Manage : Establish clear requirements for department managers, requiring daily updates for safety, service and production of each department
- Staff: Coach, train, recruit, hire and support staff.Provide regular feedback and recognition. Hold staff accountable for fulfilling their key responsibilities and goals satisfactorily
- Maintain: Establish staffing levels for departments to sustain a sufficient number of staff to complete tasks while upholding budgets
- Collaborate: Conduct monthly staff meetings, share appropriate information and develop agendas that oversee the mission and critical measures of the department
- Teamwork: Plan and coordinate work processes between NFM regional warehouses and actively work on process improvements
- Coordinate: Organize allocation space for all product categories within the region’s warehouse and direct schedules needed to receive shipments to and from other NFM regional warehouses
- Safety: Maintain a safe and clean work area and visit other operations to gather new ideas and solutions to problem
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business or related area
- 6 years warehouse experience to include inventory control, and material handling
- 3-5 years experience with Appliances, Electronics, Furniture and/or Flooring products
- 6 years management experience
- Knowledge of NFM’s Computer Systems, including Point of Sale (POS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
