BIA names Paul Kenis VP of business development for the Midwest region

NORTH BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Mattress manufacturer Bedding Industries of America has named Paul Kenis as its new vice president of business development for its Midwest region, a new position.

In this new role, Kenis will identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, expand BIA’s market presence and work with sales representatives and retailers in the Midwest region, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Dakota, South Dakota, Western Pennsylvania, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin.

He will report directly to BIA Chief Operating Officer Philip Carlitz.

Kenis most recently was a lead on business development at The Bedding Group, a fourth-generation, family-owned mattress manufacturer. Prior to this, he worked as a field consultant for Henry Shein, a worldwide distributor of medical and dental supplies.

Before that, he was operations manager for his family business, Morris Furniture, founded in Albert Lea, Minnesota, in 1933.

The company said, “His in-depth knowledge of the furniture and mattress industry, as well as his proven track record in business development and strategic planning, make him a valuable addition to the BIA leadership team.”
