Saatva, Bedding Industries of America announce merger

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — Luxury e-commerce bedding resource Saatva and Bedding Industries of America have merged, formalizing what they have described as a long-standing partnership.

BIA, whose brands include Eastman House, Eclipse and Millbrook Beds, among others, has been the exclusive mattress supplier to Saatva since its inception in 2010.

In addition to mattresses, Saatva also sells other products for the bedroom including bed frames, benches and ottomans, lounge and swivel chairs, and rugs, to name several core categories.

Its bedding lineup includes hybrid innerspring and memory foam mattresses as well as youth and crib mattresses and pet beds. In addition, it sells pillows, sheets, duvets and comforters, blankets and quilts, and bedding bundles.

Ron Rudzin, Saatva chief executive officer, and Stuart Carlitz, BIA founder, said they are optimistic about the opportunities the merger will generate for the combined organization.

Saatva, they noted, will benefit from a vertically integrated supply chain, while BIA can leverage Saatva resources to “better serve its brick-and-mortar retail customer base and strengthen its flagship Eclipse and Eastman House brands.”
