Description: Janus et Cie currently has an opening for a Contract Sales Specialist based out of the Boston area. The sales territory will include parts of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Hampshire. Reporting to the Director of Contract Strategic Programs, the Contract Sales Specialist will generate leads and sales from clients with a major focus on A+D, dealers, as well as corporate and higher education end users.
The person in this role will be responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals for the location area as well as developing new business through prospecting, tracking leads and having product specified or converting projects. They will deliver live presentations to both large and small groups, including designers, dealers and end-users, and service existing corporate business with large direct accounts which will be expanded to specifications driven by dealers, designers, corporate accounts, municipalities and landscape architects
Qualification:
- 5+ years of successful sales experience working with contract designers, dealers and end-users
- Motivated self-starter with a hunter mentality combined with a polished image that is in line with the company’s mission and values
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of the contract furniture industry, including competitors, projects in process and relationships with key influencers and decisions
